De l’élégie romantique du ménestrel de Glazounov au lyrisme sensuel du violon de Franck, en passant par les tournures contrastées d’un Prokofiev inspiré par Mstislav Rostropovich, le violoncelle épouse ici toutes les inflexions du chant. Ce programme rapproche aussi deux prodiges révélés par leurs succès précoces en concours internationaux. Le violoncelliste coréen Jaemin Han n’a pas vingt ans qu’il parcourt déjà le monde, plus jeune Premier Prix de l’histoire du Concours international George Enescu de Bucarest en 2021. De quelques années à peine son aîné, le pianiste russe Alexander Malofeev, issu de la célèbre Académie Gnessine qui forme tant de pianistes d’exception, s’est distingué lors des concours Tchaïkovski en 2014 puis de Moscou en 2016.
