Plus jeune participant et deuxième prix assorti des quelques autres du Concours Rubinstein de Tel Aviv en 2005, Gilmore Artist Award en 2018, le pianiste allemand d’origine russe Igor Levit fait l’unanimité. Non seulement dans ses interprétations de Bach ou du répertoire romantique, dont il relève tous les défis – son intégrale des sonates de Beethoven est multi-couronnée en 2019 –, mais aussi pour ses propositions créatives qui ravivent la signification de l’engagement de l’artiste et de la place de l’art dans la vie.
