Ravel Sonate pour violon et violoncelle en ut majeur Tzigane Trio pour violon, violoncelle et piano en la mineur
Le corpus chambriste de Ravel, peu étendu, est économe et ne retient que des œuvres essentielles. Le trio avec piano y trône en chef-d’œuvre de maturité, ouvrant, par ses subtilités de timbres, sa richesse rythmique et son discours éloquent, les portes d’un monde onirique. Inspiré par la rencontre de Ravel avec la violoniste hongroise Jelly d’Arányi, interprète et partenaire de scène de Bartók, Tzigane défie un violon rhapsodique éminemment virtuose. On le retrouve dans un duo sans clavier mais avec violoncelle écrit en mémoire de Debussy, dialogue serré entre deux instruments frères aux cordes ni tout à fait semblables ni radicalement différentes.
