MOZART Quatuor à cordes no 17 K. 458 « La Chasse » BARTÓK Quatuor à cordes no 5 MOZART Concerto pour piano no 9 K. 271 « Jeunehomme » Deuxième invitation du festival à s’immiscer dans un dialogue fécond entre Mozart et Bartók : sous les archets du Quatuor Modigliani, « La Chasse », troisième des six opus mozartiens dédiés à Haydn, au délicieux mouvement lent, défie l’avant-dernier quatuor du compositeur hongrois, daté de l’été 1934, profondément ancré dans son terreau populaire. Ce concert s’ouvrira à la forme concertante avec l’Évian Chamber Orchestra, fondé à la Grange au Lac en 2018 avec des représentants de meilleurs phalanges européennes, et David Fray. Le pianiste confiait il y a quelques années que « Mozart [était] pour tout pianiste une épreuve de vérité ». Il relève le challenge – lui qui fut récompensé entre autres, en 2004, par le Concours international de Montréal – avec le fameux Concerto « Jeunehomme », deux mouvements rayonnants enchâssant un Andantino des plus bouleversants du compositeur.
